You may or may not know this, but I manage two other websites besides this one. While I love doing multiple things that have very little (if anything) to do with each other, sometimes the work gets overwhelming and I've got to set something aside for a spell.
This time around, it's Izanamikun.
Well, the break is to recharge my batteries so I can come back like before- with a passion and enthusiasm that right now I don't quite have. Rest is part of everything, and expecting myself to 'do it all' uninterrupted is just silly. Instead of waiting for the burnout, it's best that I schedule some needed time off.
As for why Izanamikun, well... because it's the site with the least clear direction. It's just fun right now, and it's something that I tend to do naturally. The tiring part is being conscious enough of it to communicate it and write it all down for others. Mostly what I've written so far would otherwise be passing thoughts that contributed to my personal development, or possibly sparked a bit of conversation if the chance arose. I may have underestimated how taxing it would be on a daily basis.
So What Now?
For now, you can revisit past articles or check out my other functioning website, www.startfreelancing.com. In the near future, you may also want to check out the other website I've neglected to continue writing on this one, www.metaphysiology.com.
As for how long this break may be, I can't truly say. Could be a few days, could be a few months. It's hard to tell. But this is my nature, to move cyclically through projects like this. A bit ago, I discovered a book that described me perfectly as a type of 'scanner.' Still trying to figure out how to work with that, unfortunately. For now, announcing my silence is an improvement over a sudden disappearance at least.
When I return, it's highly likely I'll have a brand new idea about the direction I'll take with Izanamikun. I've always liked the idea of it being about games in some way, so it's probably going to keep that theme in some way. However, I make no promises.
I will check back from time to time and respond to comments, though. So feel free to comment wherever you feel most comfortable and/or appropriate. You can follow Izanamikun on Facebook or Patreon to be notified when I come back.
Until I return, keep challenging yourself to find the lesson in everything as best you can. Unless you need a break, then take it and know it is well deserved.
See ya later, Internet Drifters.
